With each service you can choose how much in dollar amount or percentage of your account to be allocated to each trade. When trading, it is not wise to trade the same amount for stocks as for options. With optionsxpress.com you can choose the amount to be traded for stocks and a different amount for options. With stocks I recommend 17-25% of your account for each trade. With options I recommend 5% or at least $2,000.

Some people are only interested in trading stocks in hopes the stock will go up in price without getting involved with options and short sales. If this fits your style then the Equity Service is for you.
